DAF 33
The DAF 33 is one of the most recognisable and familiar DAFs. It was launched in 1967, but was a direct descendent of, and evolved from the first ever DAF, the 600, which appeared in 1958. The DAF 600 grew into the DAF 750, which in turn became the Daffodil 30, then DAF 31 and 32, all with minor engineering and body design changes.
The basic design of this engine remained in use from the beginning to the end of DAF 33 production in 1975. Many thousands of these little cars and vans used to be a familiar site, especially the DAF 33. There are signs at last that the classic and historical car world are recognising the significance and importance of these cars. There is also a certain amount of "retro appeal" now.
